This is my Song: Rise

Posted by Liz in Uncategorized

What can I say except that “Rise” should really be my song now. I admit I’m having a hard time letting him go completely even though he made it clear to me that he just doesn’t want to be with me anymore. He has someone else after all. But the thing is I love him so much.

People say move on. Forget. And I know they are so right. Really. I am willing my mind to control my heart and sometimes, the logical side of me wins. But there are also times when my emotions get the best of me. Ang hirap nga lang siguro talaga gawin agad agad dahil sobrang mahal ko sya…

And I guess it’s that great love of mine that got me into this situation. Broken hearted and worst of all - LOST. By loving him so much, I lost myself…

I never really thought he’d leave again. He said he loves me after all. He said he’d be there with me for the rest of our lives. He didn’t mean it when he said he’d stay. They were just WORDS. Empty promises.

The road ahead of me is not an easy one to take. But it’s one that I must go through. In time I will heal again.

RISE

I know that it’s over
But I can’t believe we’re through
They say that time is a healer
And i’m better without you
It’s gonna take time i know
But I’ll get over you

Look at my life
Look at my heart
I have seen them fall apart
Now i’m ready to rise again
Look at my hopes Look at my dreams
I’m building bridges from these scenes
Now I’m ready to rise again

Caught up in my thinking Yeah
Like a prisoner in my mind
You pose so many questions
Buth the truth was hard to find
I better think twice i know
That i’ll get over you
Look at my life
Look at my heart
I have seen them fall apart
Now i’m ready to rise again
Look at my hopes
Look at my dreams
I’m building bridges from these scenes
Now i’m ready to rise again

Much time has passed between us
Do you still think of me at all
My world of broken promises
Now you won’t catch me when i fall
I know that it’s over
But I can’t believe we’re through
They say that time is a healer
And i’m better without you
It’s gonna take time i know
But I’ll get over over you

Look at my life
Look at my heart
I have seen them fall apart
Now i’m ready to rise again
Look at my hopes Look at my dreams
I’m building bridges from these scenes
Now I’m ready to rise again

Caught up in my thinking Yeah
Like a prisoner in my mind
You pose so many questions
Buth the truth was hard to find
I better think twice i know
That i’ll get over you
Look at my life
Look at my heart
I have seen them fall apart
Now i’m ready to rise again
Look at my hopes
Look at my dreams
I’m building bridges from these scenes
Now i’m ready to rise again

Much time has passed between us
Do you still think of me at all
My world of broken promises
Now you won’t catch me when i fall

Look at my life
Look at my heart
I have seen them fall apart
Now i’m ready to rise again
Look at my hopes

Now i’m ready to rise again
Look at my life
Look at my heart

Now i’m ready to rise again
Look at my hopes

I’m building bridges from these scenes
Now i’m ready to rise again

American Idol Finale

Posted by Liz in American Idol

Well I’ll have to say I’m not happy about season 7 American Idol finale results. David Cook bagged the title but if you ask me, Archuleta should’ve won. Such talent for a 17 year old and he got the praises from Simon Cowell on last night’s finale performance. Yet David Cook won! Argh!

My jaw literally dropped in shock when Ryan Seacrest announced David Cook as the winner. I was so sure David Archuleta would win…

As upset and disappointed as I am though, I’ll just have to believe that talented Archuleta will live on to do records like the other American Idol hopefuls from past seasons who didn’t win the title but made it big.

Don’t worry David A! I still love you!

Got the Archuleta Fever

Posted by Liz in American Idol

I’ve always been fond of watching American Idol because I like music and the auditions make me laugh.  But this season, I’m hit with the Archuleta Fever. I know, I know. He’s only 17 but have you seen him? Have you heard him sing? David Archuleta is truly AI’s wonder boy. He’s got a real good chance of winning the competition and it’s not just because he looks cute! But because he really is talented.

I’d vote for him if I could. But since I can’t, I’m just going to continue watching AI to catch his performances. Keep on singing David! You’re my American Idol!

Addicted to Games

Posted by Liz in Uncategorized

It’s almost the weekend once again and I find myself attempting to download new games from Limewire. I’m risking the computer by doing so because this act of mine is a make or break deal - either I successfully download the game I want for free or I get another program disguised as the game and get spywares, adwares or worse viruses in the computer.

Currently, these are the games I’m playing:

A New Hollywood Crush of Mine

Posted by Liz in Uncategorized

I saw this film on HBO last night, “The Covenant” and I was instantly drawn into the movie - not because of the plot itself although it wasn’t so bad - but because the actors were cute! I’m a sucker for cute guys. So here he is - my newest Hollywood crush: Steven Strait.

Steven Strait and Taylor Kitsch in Screen Gems' The Covenant

He looks cute even on sideview!

I didn’t notice this cutie when he starred as Warren Peace in the Disney movie “Sky High” but come to think of it now, he did look cute in that movie as well. But his looks in the movie, The Covenant is where I really think he’s a real eye candy.

Got the Holiday Hang Over

Posted by Liz in Uncategorized

I can’t believe I’m working still when the holiday isn’t over yet. There’s still the New Year after all and so, I’m not so productive here in the office because I still have the holiday hang over. Well there’s not much to do at work anyway so it makes it even more challenging to get up from bed. I would’ve filed a leave except there’s work to be done, a little bit of it which cannot wait until the holiday is over.

I’m looking forward to another long weekend break and hopefully when I get back to work, I’ll be reenergized and raring to tackle any task that comes my way.

New Year is almost here. Haven’t gotten around to thinking about what I want to achieve next year. I’ve changed it from resolutions to goals because I never really get around to resolving anything I promise to do. But having goals to reach, well I’ve found it’s more effective for me. 2007 is almost at an end. Been a good year over all for me, I do think so. I hope 2008 will be even better.

I thought she didn’t approve of me for her son. But last Saturday, I was proven wrong. It’s all thanks to her that I got her son back with me.
